Report invasive plants.
Your data will add to a mapping database and be used to help control invasive species.
Invasive plants were introduced to our area from somewhere else - usually another continent. These plants grow quickly and choke out native plants. Worse yet, invasive plants can't provide the high quality wildlife habitat that native plants can. Some invasive plants, like wild parsnip, can even cause painful blistering after contact with skin. An important part of invasive species control is knowing where these plants are growing. To help gather information about invasive plant locations, CWIP is holding a Mapping Blitz. We're looking for volunteers to help.
